Lifestory Project

As part of the drugs education offered in PSHE lessons Nick Wilson from the Lifestory Project at Rotherham has been into Maple to talk to year 10 and 11 pupils about his past experiences with drug addiction. He attended Phoenix House, a re-hab unit in Sheffield for help and support in his efforts to stop drug taking and has been visiting schools for the past four years to talk to pupils about how he became involved in drug taking in the first place and the impact it had on his life and also on his family and friends. Pupils were able to ask Nick many questions and the session has given pupils and staff a valuable learning experience which we will be able to discuss further in our PSHE lessons.

The perimeter of the field has been measured out and pupils are either walking or running the distance. Pictured are some pupils walking and running the mile.
