About Us

Maple Medical PRU is based over two sites, the main site being at Cedar Road, Balby and the Hospital School at Doncaster Royal Infirmary

Our school provides education for pupils with a variety of individual needs. These include:

• Pupils with mental health needs, who are referred via CAMHS (this was previously referred to as JASP)
• Pupils with medical needs, who are 'too well' to be in hospital but are 'too ill' to be accessing mainstream school, who are referred by medical professionals (this was previously referred to as LINK)
• Pupils who have a diagnosis of Autism and also have an EHCP, who are referred via Doncaster SEN Panel (this was previously referred to as Mulberry)
• Pupils who are hospitalised on the Children's Ward at Doncaster Royal Infirmary (this part of Maple can be referred to as The Hospital School)
• Pupils who require home-tuition as a result of their significant medical needs, who are referred by medical professionals
